Equipment Evaluation
The Filtrex Advantage
Filtrex doesn't simply clean coils—we inspect all of your facility's HVAC/R equipment and provide a detailed evaluation report as well as before and after photo documentation that the work has been performed correctly.
Proactive maintenance starts with an inventory of all HVAC/R assets along with their condition. With this inventory, problems can be remedied and asset maintenance can be tracked over time to establish the total cost of ownership. However, most businesses do not have the resources to regularly catalogue and track the condition of their assets over time. Filtrex is able to drastically lower this cost by cataloging and inspecting assets while performing routine maintenance such as coil cleaning, belt adjustment, and filter replacement. These inspections allow problems such as vibration, short cycling, refrigerant leaks, and dirty coils to be identified before they escalate into costly outages due to fan motor and compressor failures—in many cases without resorting to costly realtime monitoring.
Filtrex's technicians arrive onsite with the expertise to evaluate HVAC/R equipment and the ability to capture that information and save it electronically. Most of the expense of capturing assets stems from the cost of having a technician arrive at the facility. Since Filtrex technicians are already onsite to clean coils, asset capture can be performed with minimal additional cost.
Detailed Reporting
Filtrex has developed an electronic report identifying 16 of the most common HVAC/R problems, along with photos and comments. We also uniquely identified the equipment with a barcode and then placed the reports in an online database. The result is an incredible value at virtually no additional cost to our customers. Our customers now have:
- Equipment make, model and serial number
- A permanent asset identification barcode, allowing a history of all work orders and expenses to be associated with the asset
- The 16 visual problems report, which includes common HVAC/R issues such as fan, belt, drain pan, p-trap, hail damage, coils, and filters problems
- Before and after photos
- Overall condition evaluation assessment
